Further information from this first nationwide practical assessment of small wind turbines. Includes a tour of local installations in the trial and is for anyone interested in an objective assessment of this technology.

Martin Chambers (Network Rail) will be discussing the New Street Gateway, a £600 million project that sees the 1960s station undergoing a dramatic transformation into a bright modern, 21st Century transport hub for Birmingham and the region. This scheme has been developed by Network Rail, Birmingham City Council, Advantage West Midlands and Centro-WMPTA.
This is a joint event with the CIOB and is free of charge to CPD Foundation members, a hot breakfast will also be provided..

The full implementation of Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) for public buildings and commercial properties are only a few weeks away. This presentation will explain the basics of how EPCs are calculated, produced and what they look like. It will also help property and facilities managers, agents, solicitors and other relevant bodies understand what information is required and the implications of non compliance.

Leading expert Gordon Hudson has been involved in benchmarking sustainable design for the last six years and has worked on sustainability design guidance for the Home Office. At this session Gordon will examine methods of measuring sustainability of new building design, including examples such as the Building Schools for the Future project.
